Founder & Creative Director
Author Kamichi Jackson is a longtime bookworm who first discovered her love of reading as a child in the stacks of the South Norwalk Public Library (Norwalk, CT) and the classrooms of Brookside Elementary School (Norwalk, CT), Kamichi is not an elementary school teacher, but is most definitely an advocate of any activity or program that encourages children, especially those of under-resourced communities and school systems, to both lose and find themselves in the pages of good books.
Kamichi is also the author of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award semi-finalist young adult book K My Name Is Kendra and the ebook Where Present Meets Past. Jackson has made numerous appearances in support of her work, including the Baltimore Book Festival.

Schedule a Virtual Author Visit for Your Classroom
Kamichi Jackson’s virtual author visits are interactive, high-energy literacy experiences designed to engage students as readers, writers, and thinkers. For the best experience, classes are encouraged to read You’re Too Much, Reggie Brown in advance, allowing students to fully participate in story-based games, discussion, and creative activities inspired by Reggie and her world. Each visit is designed to be joyful, inclusive, and classroom-ready.
