A Story-Driven Writing Experience
Built around the narrative arc of a story called "Reggie Brown: Future Author", the program follows Reggie as she joins an afterschool writing club and discovers that stories don’t appear fully formed. Instead, they grow from everyday moments, big feelings, thoughtful observations, and the courage to try. Through Reggie’s experiences, participants learn that writing is a process—and that mistakes, revisions, and “messy drafts” are all part of becoming an author.
Students don’t just complete writing activities—they follow the journey of Reggie Brown, a young writer learning how to turn her ideas into stories.
As Reggie discovers where ideas come from, builds characters, and finds her voice, students do the same—step by step.
