The RBWC Future Author – 4-Week Writing Sprint is a fun, structured program designed to help kids turn their ideas into stories they're proud of.
Through guided, story-based activities, young writers build confidence in their writing, develop a strong sense of voice and creativity, and celebrate the commpletion and sharing of their own work.
Reggie Brown: Future Author
A 4-Week Story-Driven Writing Experience
Built around a narrative story arc, this four-week writing sprint follows Reggie as she joins a community center writing club and discovers that stories don’t appear fully formed. Instead, they grow from everyday moments, big feelings, thoughtful observations, and the courage to try. Through Reggie’s experiences, participants learn that writing is a process—and that mistakes, revisions, and “messy drafts” are all part of becoming an author.
Students don’t just complete writing activities—they follow Reggie’s journey as she learns how to turn her ideas into stories
As Reggie discovers where ideas come from, builds characters, and finds her voice, students do the same—step by step.
