This bright, bilingual space is where Spanish comes to life with Reggie's best friend CeCe, who guides learners through basic greetings, feelings, colors, food, family, weather, routines, and more. With colorful worksheets, mini-lessons, and cultura-infused activities, CeCe shows that learning is way more fun when we do it together...juntos!
Sister-City Stories
When Reggie and her family visit Baltimore’s sister city, Gbarnga, Liberia, she meets Musu—a fellow book lover with a huge imagination. Even an ocean apart, they stay close through stories and letters. In this space, readers are invited to participate in simple, engaging activities that build cultural awareness, empathy, and curiosity.
Kiana's Cubby
Featuring Reggie's Kindergarten cousin Kiana Brown, this classroom brings together simple stories, letter lessons, and hands-on activities designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a love of words. Perfect for Pre-K and Kindergarten learners taking their very first reading steps, the cozy space is led by an Early Childhood Education professional Jazmine Fiallos.
SPECIAL FEATURE
Author Hangouts
One of the most excciting parts of an author's creative process is being invited into the classrooms and homeschools of the children who read their books. Unfortunately, school budget constraints and challenging logistics (Miss Jackson is mostly homebound) can make this nearly impossible for some school districts and communities.
So she'll be scheduling hangouts in the Teacher's Lounge and making classroom pop-ins from time to time to meet readers working on Reggie Brown worksheets. And, of course, official Virtual Author Visits are also available. Stay tuned for more info!
